What Does an Infected Diabetic Foot Look like?

At first I thought of posting pictures. Butafter giving it some thought I decided not to. You can plenty of pictures on the web. Simply go to Google images and type in: “Diabetic Foot” – you’ll see what I mean…..

Diabetic foot infections happen if diabetic patients do not take proper care of their feet. Whether its wearing uncomfortable shoes or ignoring small blisters/

ulcers on the feet.

What happens? Diabetic foot complications have a strong effect on the blood circulation to the feet. They affect the nerve cells in the feet which controls sensation which means you will not be aware of any injury to them and this makes the situation much worse and can lead to amputation of the foot.

It’s the podiatrists ultimate goal to prevent diabetic feet complications.  With proper foot management diabetic patients can lead a normal life.

But you must take action early.
